Chestine Gowdy has a sweet pink outer petals, that guard a rich collar of smaller creamy white petals. As the blooms mature, the flower form transforms from a flat rose-type to a crown-type because the center petals notably stretch more than all other petals. And these very happy looking flowers also send out the loveliest fragrance! Bushes reach an average height, and only need a ring to keep it together when the large blooms catch too much rainwater. Beautiful healthy, dark green foliage and find vigour complete this very good peony. "Chestine Gowdy" is just so cheerful, displaying happiness in all of her being.
