Cosmos "Picotee"

These flowers remind me my childhood. Each Summer we saw simple flowers of red, pink, purple, white colors.They grew near roads, on the places where couldn't grow any other. In that time no one couldn't imagined that these flowers would become one of the main components of weddings bouquets. So simple they were, but in this simplicity is their beauty... Modern hybridazers made a huge investment on this field and farmers, florists and gardeners got numerous varieties of these beautiful flowers! Nowadays cosmos have florets of simple and double forms, mono- and multicolor. One of this creature you can see on the picture. The large blooms are white with a deep rose/pink picotee edge. Some blooms are also splashed or striped with crimson highlights. The foliage is finely cut, and the plants branch out and bloom profusely and continually into fall. It is so easy to grow plant. It doesn't like a good soil quality and doesn't like to be fed with fertilizer. The best way to grow is sow straight in to the ground. These plants don't like transplanting and might not survive it, so straight sowing is recommended. 40 seeds in package.
